Throwback Thursday: Big Pun - Still Not a Player

In honor of the celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, today's throwback thursday is "Still Not a Player" by Big Pun.

"Still Not a Player" is a hit song released in 1998 by Puerto Rican-American rapper Big Pun. It was a chart topping single off Pun's debut album, Capital Punishment,and the biggest single of his career, peaking at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number 6 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The song is a remix of Big Pun's previous single "I'm Not a Player". It features singer Joe on the hook,and was produced by Knobody.

There has been a lot of misses by the Los Angeles Lakers in the last two years,with the hiring and firing of head coach Mike Brown,the hiring of coach Mike D'Antoni,and departure of superstar center Dwight Howard to the Houston Rockets.

Hopefully all of that is about to change,as the team officially unveiled their "Hollywood Nights" alternate jersey on Wednesday via twitter,which I must say is absolutely beautiful.

It peaked inside the top 10 in the Billboard Hot 100 and was a number 2 hit in the UK.


New York Rap juggernaut 50 Cent,released the video to "NY" from his 5(Murder by Numbes) mixtape today. The video shows different New York locations,and 50 spitting some hardcore rhymes. What do you think about the video?

Today marked the seventeenth anniversary of the death of arguably the greatest rapper whoever held a mic.Tupac Amaru Shakur who was gunned down in Las Vegas Nevada on September 13th 1996 was much more than a rapper.He was an actor,activist,and a rising icon, before his life was cut short at age 25 due to the senseless violence of the East Coast/West Coast beef.

Only You" is the debut single from R&B group 112 from their debut album of the same name.

This remix features Mase and The Notorious B.I.G,and it reached number one on two of Billboard Magazine's charts: Hot Dance Singles Sales and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay.

The song made its debut at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 27, 1996, and spent 39 weeks in the top 100.

R.Kelly to drop New Album "Black Panties" on Nov 11

The Pied Piper of R & B, R.Kelly will release his twelfth solo album Black Panties on Nov 11.The Legendary crooner revealed the release date at a recent listening session in Atlanta. This is the Chi Town singer's follow up to last year's Write me Back.

"My Story" is the first single that has been released off the album,and it features 2 Chainz.
